Knight and his crew headed south this weekend for Glencoe, Alabama to race in the Crate Nationals at Green Valley Speedway for $10,000. Thursday night was open practice and Knight was able to get a few laps in to get a feel for the track. Friday night kicked off qualifying. Knight qualified 2nd out the field of 43 cars and was set to start inside pole in the 2nd heat race. Knight finished 3rd in his heat putting him starting 12th for the feature in the stacked field. Saturday was race day and Knight was anxious to the show started. Once the green flag dropped Knight was sitting on go. By lap 5 Knight was aleady up to 5th position but then some bad luck headed his way. On lap 5 Knight had suspension failure giving him his first DNF on the year. Knight and his crew had a great race car this weekend and Knight felt that he atleast had a top 3 race car. The season is just getting started good and Knight is on the prawl to be a force to be reckoned with for the 2012 race season!

Knight stepped up to the plate this weekend at the Georgia Winter Nationals put on by FasTrak at Toccoa Speeway. Open practice started Friday evening and Knight and his crew got a few laps under their belt to prepare for the weekend ahead. Saturday Knight and his crew hit the ground running with a full day of qualifying and heat races. Knight qualified on the outside pole for his heat race with a time of 13.546. Knight ran away in his heat race leading all 10 laps and was set to start on the outside pole in the $5,000 feature. Sunday Knight and his crew were focused and ready to get the show underway. When the green flag was thrown the field of 24 were ready to rock. Knight held the 2nd position for about half the race and battled the #07 of Dale Timms for the lead. Knight took the lead from Timms on lap 25 and was halfway to the checkered flag. With about 10 laps to go lap traffic became a factor and after a little rough driving from a competitor Knight luckily and skillfully held on to the 2nd position. Knight finished 2nd in the feature behind the #21 of Royce Bray. Knight and the rest of the field put on a hell of a race at Toccoa Speedway this weekend for the Georgia Winter Nationals but Knight's smart driving is what got him his 2nd top 5 finish of the season. Knight would again like to thank Chris Madden Racing, Hoosier Racing Tires, Barry Wright Race Cars, Rhinehart Racing Bodies, Kar House Radiators, Town and Country Meat Packing, Augusta Aquatics and all of his other sponsors for their hard work and support needed to race each weekend.
