Top 5 finish in Charlie Mize Memorial at Lavonia Speedway

On Friday evening Cla Knight visited Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Ga.) for the Ultimate Southeast Series-sanctioned Charlie Mize Memorial. Recording the fifth fastest time in his qualifying group, Knight locked into the 10th-starting position for the $4,141-to-win A-Main. Passing five cars in the 41-lap affair, Cla notched a fifth place finish behind Zack Mitchell, Ross Bailes, Brent Dixon, and Chris Ferguson.

The following night at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.), Cla secured his spot into the finale with the second fastest time in his group behind Christian Thomas. With $5,000 on the line, Knight dropped six positions to register a ninth place outing. (Steve Moore photo)
