“Man, we had a great hotrod in the feature at Tri-County Racetrack on Thursday night. We started deep in the field, but the car just kept getting better and better as the feature went on, and we got to fourth by the time the checkered flag flew. That was a tough field, and to have a run like that was a major boost of confidence for our team,” Knight said. “On Saturday night at Talladega (Short Track), we buried ourselves early and just couldn’t overcome it to get into the feature. Just one of those nights, but we are now excited to head to 411 (Motor Speedway) this Tuesday for another Castrol FloRacing Night in America event.

“As always, a huge thank you goes out to my family, my marketing partners, and everyone who supports this racing program.”

Cla Knight entered his E-Z-GO No. 42 Late Model into battle at Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, N.C.) on Thursday evening for the for the 17th edition of the FK Rod Ends Tar Heel 53 presented by Jacky Jones Automotive.

Drawing 35 Late Models for the eighth round of the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries, Knight edged his way into the $22,022-to-win A-Main with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race.

Rolling off 15th for the feature, Cla advanced through the field 11 positions in the 53-lap affair to register a fourth-place finish. He followed Dale McDowell, Brandon Overton, and Chris Madden across the line with Garrett Alberson in fifth.

On Saturday the team visited Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for a $15,000-to-win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event. Thirty-two Super Late Models entered the program. A seventh-place finish in his heat race sent Cla to a B-Main where he was only able to manage a ninth-place finish as his night drew to an early end.

Cla returns to competition this Tuesday night at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for another $22,022-to-win Castrol FloRacing Night in America affair.
