Cla Knight 17th in Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series visit to Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park
On Friday afternoon, Cla Knight joined the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park (Elkin, N.C.) for tour's fifth event of the season.
Stopping the clock fifth-quickest in qualifying, Knight finished third in his heat race which earned him a starting spot on the fifth-row for the 50-lap feature. With a $10,000 payday on the line, Knight was running inside the Top-10 until contact down the backstretch sent him spinning. Cla returned to track briefly before pulling off and recording a 17th-place finish.
Saturday's $20,000-to-win Buddy Crook Memorial at Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway was cancelled due to overnight rain showers.
Knight is currently 12th in the HTFSDS point standings.
